Our Commitment to Community
At Synchro Solar, we're more than just solar installers, we're neighbors passionate about building a stronger, greener Pacific Northwest. We believe clean energy starts at home, and that means supporting the organizations and initiatives that make our communities healthier, more sustainable, and more connected.
We're proud to sponsor and stand behind these wonderful local (and global) groups doing meaningful work every day. We hope you'll join us in supporting them—whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word.
Zenger Farm
Right here in Portland, Zenger Farm is a vibrant urban working farm that grows fresh food, teaches sustainable practices, and promotes equitable access to healthy, local produce. They model environmental stewardship, community building, and good food for everyone, hosting educational programs, CSAs (including sliding-scale options), and events that bring people together. It's inspiring to see how they turn city land into a hub for learning and nourishment.
Green Empowerment
This Portland-based nonprofit partners with rural communities worldwide to deliver renewable energy, clean water, sanitation, and efficient cookstoves. By empowering local leaders and focusing on social justice and sustainability, they help improve health, free up time for education and income, and build pathways out of poverty. Their work aligns perfectly with our mission, bringing clean, reliable power where it's needed most.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat's vision is simple yet powerful: a world where everyone has a decent place to live. They bring people together to build, renovate, and preserve affordable homes, creating stability, hope, and stronger communities. For nearly 50 years, they've turned partnership into real change, breaking cycles of poverty one home at a time. Safe, affordable housing is foundational, and we're honored to support their efforts.
Montavilla Farmers Market
This beloved Portland market (open Sundays year-round at SE Stark & 76th) creates a lively space for fresh, local, healthy food while boosting the local economy. They foster connections between vendors and shoppers, and their generous $20 SNAP/EBT matching program makes high-quality produce accessible to families in need. It's a great example of how community markets strengthen neighborhoods and promote wellness.
By sponsoring these organizations, we're investing in the same values that drive our solar work: sustainability, equity, local strength, and a healthier planet. It's rewarding to see the ripple effects, greener energy, better food access, stronger homes, and thriving communities.
If any of these resonate with you, consider getting involved, donate, volunteer, or visit their events. We'd love to hear about causes you care about too! Reach out if you'd like to chat about solar for your home or business while we all work toward a brighter future together.
